Until we have bought a second house, a new car is only dreaming, but who don't like a sweet dream. 

We already have all the cars we need. Therefore I think we are not interested in safe choices like Camry or Accord (even though they are beautiful, drives well, cheap in maintenance and within our price range - definitely the most sensible choices).

No the next car should be for play & variation.

8 month later : still no house, but our old Honda Civic broke down and we need a new car.

Ok, the max we can go is about 1,500,000 and maybe we can get a not too old BMW 525d F10.

Sometimes car dealers will sell a test car quite cheap that have been driving 5-10K, eg. the 320d GT M Sport that cost 2,999,000 are sold for 2,345,000 as a test car - however it had to be bought with standard interest and down payment.

Many month later : still no house, but we had luck reparing the Honda Civic by a sceptical senior Honda mechanic who would promise nothing except the bill. Even so we actually still want a car and not only a car but a boss car (for the wife).

The price is still max B1,500,000, for which in Thailand qua the car tax you don't get much.
